OnlinE/Mobile Banking Scam

Imposters are using spoofing technology to trick you into thinking that text messages, calls, or emails are from SBSU. Protect yourself by watching for red flags, such as:

• Incorrect grammar or unprofessional language

• Suspicious links or email attachments

• In communications initiated by the bank, real SBSU employees will generally      not ask for your full 16-digit card number, full SSN, or online banking login.*

• They ask for your PIN or a login code that's texted to you. REAL SBSU EMPLOYEES WILL NEVER REQUEST THE ONE-TIME PIN NUMBER SENT TO YOU VIA TEXT, PHONE CALL OR EMAIL.

If you receive a message with these types of red flags or question a text message, call, or email, contact us at 435-865-2300 or 800-662-1788.

*These may be requested in instances where YOU initiate the communication to the bank as a way for the employees to verify your identity or look up your account.
